Āwheo means ‘halo’
Āwheo hatched on the 22nd of January 2026 and is now 181 days old (22nd July), average fledging age is 240 days. He was banded F71 on the 18th of July, stainless-steel banding will be done during August.
Āwheo was weighed at 11.03am on the 7th of July he was 10kg. The average weight for day 181 is 10.3kg so this is a little below average but not of concern (he had 4 feeds in the last week). The next weigh day will be the 4th of August. The average weights have levelled out and will start to drop in the next month as is normal prior to fledging.

Bieži tā visa pietrūkst. Vēl jau mēģināšu kādreiz, jo gribējās šo gadu pabeigt.
Albatrosu ligzdošana ir ļoti gara un vēl priekšā vairāki mēneši, bet pie šāda Dabasdatu foruma darbības

Taču cerība mirst pēdējā.

Patiesībā mēs pašlaik pārspējam Jaunzēlandes IT darbu kvalitātes ziņā, kurš ir ļoti zemā līmenī.
Tur katra "problēma" tiek risināta ilgi un smagi.

Vismaz informāciju gribētu saņemt, jo ja forums nedarbosies, tad jau arī jāmet miers.

Thanks for sharing, the toroa chicks are all over 6.5 kg so this cat is not going to hunt them. However, there are many other native species, including tarāpunga/red billed gull, tītī/sooty shearwaters, kororā/blue penguin, matapo/Otago Shag and native skinks, that call Pukekura home which are at a greater risk to cat predation. Some animals are trap shy and so far, this individual has evaded our extensive trapping network which has caught 13 cats this year.

Bet ir foto, kurā baro WYL un 26. jūlija rīta pusē esot atlidojusi mamma BOK.
Bildē gan krāsu joslas neredz.
