November 12: after early family quartets, the parents were away, with currawongs alert already. Both were then flapping and practicing around the nest. Youngsters tussled over a few scraps in the nest then moved off. Lady flew to the nest just after 7:30, with both eaglets flying in eagerly – only leaves. They followed her to nearby branches and a currawong flew close and maybe clipped 35, causing it to fly a little clumsily, falling lower then flying away. A little earlier a fox was seen on the ground under the nest. 36 came to the nest early and then was seen flying away beautifully at 8:39. Both were heard and sometimes seen in the morning around and below the nest. Mid-afternoon, still waiting on a sunny day, though currawong swooper was active. One eagle was seen on River Roost at 4:15 –a slow day so far. Then at last Lady flew in with a fish at 16:43 – though taken off again. 36 was quick to fly in – then left again. Then we saw 36 being fed by Lady on a branch close by. Dad came in too and 35 flew to the nest, squeeing and begging– with a swooper still close by. A tricky flight down. 36 appeared to self-feed on the remains and 35 missed out, though seen later resting safely in the nest bowl. After 6:10. 36 flew from branch to branch, coming closer to the nest and around to 35, then both resting there.
12. novembris: pēc agrīnajām ģimenes kvartetiem vecāki bija prom, un ērglēni jau bija modri. Abi lidinājās un praktizējās ap ligzdu. Jaunie putni cīnījās par dažiem sīkumiem ligzdā un tad devās prom. Lēdija pie ligzdas pielidoja nedaudz pēc pulksten 19:30, abiem ērgļiem dedzīgi lidojot – tikai lapas. Tie sekoja viņai līdz tuvējiem zariem, un viens ērglēns pielidoja tuvu un, iespējams, notrieca 35, liekot tam lidot nedaudz neveikli, krītot zemāk un pēc tam aizlidojot. Nedaudz agrāk uz zemes zem ligzdas tika redzēta lapsa. 36 ieradās ligzdā agri un tad pulksten 8:39 tika redzēta skaisti aizlidojam. Abi tika dzirdēti un dažreiz redzēti no rīta ap un zem ligzdas. Pēcpusdienā, joprojām gaidot saulainā dienā, lai gan kurras bija aktīva. Viens ērglis tika redzēts Rūstas upē pulksten 16:15 – pagaidām klusa diena. Tad beidzot Lēdija pielidoja ar zivi pulksten 16:43 – lai gan atkal nogādāta gaisā. 36 ātri ielidoja – tad atkal aizlidoja. Tad mēs redzējām 36, netālu uz zara baroja Lēdija. Arī tētis ienāca, un 35 aizlidoja uz ligzdu, spiegodams un ubagodams – tuvumā joprojām atradās kurras. Viltīgs lidojums lejup. Šķita, ka 36 pats barojas ar atliekām, bet 35 nokavēja, lai gan vēlāk tika redzēts droši atpūšamies ligzdas bļodā. Pēc pulksten 18:10 36 lidoja no zara uz zaru, tuvojoties ligzdai un ap 35, pēc tam abi tur atpūtās.
