October 22: a quiet night with SE33 sleeping standing on the rim. All were awake early with the usual singing, all joining in. SE33 was very energetic, flapping up to the perch branch and flying back. Later both were resting on a fairly hot day. During the morning both adults were seen down on the river together and heard duetting. 1pm – eaglets still waiting for prey delivery. Finally Lady brought a gull chick at 14:25 -along with a magpie swooper – eaglets heads down. She started feeding them, watching for swoopers as currawong has joined in as well. Then the eaglets again rested on the nest for the late afternoon. It was a lean prey day and again irritating swoopers. Then at end of day Dad brought in a gull at 18:42, grabbed by Lady and again fed to the eaglets.

22. oktobris: klusa nakts ar SE33 gulēšanu, stāvot uz loka. Visi bija agri nomodā ar parasto dziedāšanu, visi pievienojās. SE33 bija ļoti enerģisks, uzsita līdz zaram un lidoja atpakaļ. Vēlāk abi atpūtās diezgan karstā dienā. No rīta abi pieaugušie redzēti kopā uz upes un dzirdējuši duetu. 13:00 – ērgļu mazuļi joprojām gaida medījuma piegādi. Beidzot lēdija pulksten 14:25 atveda kaiju cāli - kopā ar varenes sūperi - ērgļu galvām uz leju. Viņa sāka tos barot, vērojot, vai nav pievienojušies arī kurravonga. Tad ērgļi atkal atpūtās uz ligzdas vēlu pēcpusdienu. Tā bija liesa laupījuma diena un atkal kairinoši swoopers. Tad dienas beigās tētis pulksten 18:42 atveda kaiju, kuru lēdija satvēra un atkal izbaroja ērgļus.

October 23: an early quartet at first light. SE33 was getting more adventurous, moving higher up the perch branch and back again. SE34 was also very active early, moving up that perch branch, flapping wings and back. We acknowledge SE34 as branching now, early- around 6:16, flying from perch branch back to the nest. Late currawong swoopers were busy, with both nestlings objecting loudly. Late in the morning both were quietly resting in the nest bowl –waiting. Around 2:4 SE33 ventured way up the perch branch, and when swooped, flew back to the nest – a relief.SE34 followed then they duetted – in relief? Later 33 ventured higher again, moving to other branches and 34 a little way. When a swooper arrived, 34 retreated to the nest, then 33 made its way down as well. 33 is exploring new branches around the nest. At 4pm both eagles were seen down on the river –away all day. Finally Lady brought in an eel at 16:20- fed 34. 33 was slower to come close, but was then interested in the tail end. Dad turned up at the eel meal, with the swooper and feeding paused. Both were fed then and self-fed too – a long eel meal. Swooper still persistent at evening, with Lady at the nest protesting –and quite a windy night. SE34 was still eating left-overs on the rim until nearly 6pm. Then Dad came back and fed them a little more.

23. oktobris: agrīnais kvartets pirmajā gaismā. SE33 kļuva azartiskāks, virzoties augstāk pa asara zaru un atkal atpakaļ. Arī SE34 agri bija ļoti aktīvs, virzoties uz augšu pa to lakta zaru, plīvojot ar spārniem un muguru. Mēs atzīstam, ka SE34 zarojas tagad, agri- ap 6:16, lido no asara atzarojuma atpakaļ uz ligzdu. Vēlie kurravongas swoopers bija aizņemti, abiem ligzdām skaļi iebilstot. Vēlu no rīta abi klusi atpūtās ligzdas bļodā – gaidīja. Ap pulksten 14:4 SE33 uzdrošinājās augšup pa asara zaru un, nosviedot, aizlidoja atpakaļ uz ligzdu – atvieglojums. Sekoja SE34, tad viņi duetē – atviegloti? Vēlāk 33 atkal uzdrošinājās augstāk, pārejot uz citām filiālēm un 34 nedaudz tālāk. Kad ieradās sweoper, 34 atkāpās uz ligzdu, pēc tam 33 devās arī lejā. 33 pēta jaunus zarus ap ligzdu. 16:00 abi ērgļi tika manīti lejā uz upes — prom visu dienu. Beidzot lēdija atnesa zuti pulksten 16:20 – baroja 34. 33 bija lēnāk pietuvoties, bet tad viņu ieinteresēja astes gals. Tētis ieradās pie zušu maltītes ar swooper un barošanas pauzi. Swooper joprojām ir neatlaidīgs vakarā, un lēdija pie ligzdas protestē - un diezgan vējaina nakts. SE34 joprojām ēda pārpalikumus uz malas līdz gandrīz pulksten 18. Tad tētis atgriezās un pabaroja viņus vēl nedaudz.

October 24: an early quartet to welcome the day, then Lady was off chasing a currawong. Both eaglets moved out on the limb together side by side. Eaglets were resting – waiting –and Lady brought in a gull just before 10am, along with swoopers. SE33 self-fed well and both were fed a little by Lady. After a quiet morning then, Lady flew in at 12:15. She must have seen Dad coming with a fish. This was grabbed by SE34, taking a long time to break into the flesh. Lady tried to join in, SE33 ate a little until finally they left it at 2:30. A long feed. Dad finished off a few scraps. Both were then resting on the nest and venturing up perch branch- flapping and exploring a little. Both Eagles were seen down on the river at 16:40. At dusk eaglets were standing on the rim – with a magpie swooping.

24. oktobris: agrs kvartets, lai sagaidītu dienu, pēc tam Lady devās dzenādamies pēc currawong.Ērgļu mazuļi atpūtās un gaidīja, un lēdija īsi pirms pulksten 10 no rīta ieveda kaiju kopā ar swoopers. SE33 pašbaroja labi un abus nedaudz baroja lēdija. Pēc klusa rīta Lady atlidoja pulksten 12:15. Viņa noteikti ir redzējusi tēti nākam ar zivi. To satvēra SE34, un bija nepieciešams ilgs laiks, lai ielauztos miesā. Dāma mēģināja pievienoties, SE33 nedaudz ēda, līdz beidzot 14:30 viņi to pameta. Ilga gara ēšana. Tētis pabeidza atlikumu. Pēc tam abi atpūtās uz ligzdas un metās augšup asara zaros, plīvojot un nedaudz izpētot. Abi ērgļi tika pamanīti upē pulksten 16:40. Iestājoties krēslai, uz apmales stāvēja ērgļu mazuļi – ar vareni svilpa.

we have located SE33 safe in the forest, not far from the nest, in a low bush. Keeping quiet and its head down . Swoopers are there, which gave us a clue. Not making direct contact with 33 though. As advisable, we did not go close. It is safe and hopefully parents will see it.

esam SE33 droši atraduši mežā, netālu no ligzdas, zemā krūmājā. Klusē un noliek galvu. Swoopers ir tur, kas mums deva pavedienu. Tomēr neveidojot tiešu kontaktu ar 33. Kā vēlams, ne tuvu negājām. Tas ir droši, un cerams, ka vecāki to redzēs. Gaidīsim labas ziņas par se33

Jenwren ziņo, ka abi pieaugušie ērgļi tagad atrodas River Roost, tētis ieradās tieši pirms lēdijas atstāja ligzdu, tad viņa pievienojās viņam tur.
