August 29: Dad came to the nest early and then was in and out with bunches of green leaves – quite fresh looking. There was an early mating and duet. The strong wind has dropped today. Dad brought a whole bream in at 8:42 –swooped by magpie at the same time. Lady fed, with SE34 managing a few bites first before SE33 lunged and then continued eating. 34 did eat well when 33 was full – after a lean day yesterday. A lovely sunny day then. Dad brought in a bream at 13:13 – again swooped by magpie. SE 33 ate well, 34 a little. The nestlings then rested, trying for a little shade. Lady brought in several more sprays of leaves in the afternoon. At last light Dad brought a gull and then fed the nestlings himself – until Lady arrived and took over the feeding. SE34 ate well.
29. augusts: tētis agri ieradās ligzdā un tad bija iekšā un ārā ar zaļu lapu ķekariem – diezgan svaigs izskats. Bija agrīna pārošanās un duets. Stiprais vējš šodien pierimis. Tētis pulksten 8:42 atnesa veselu breksi. Dāma baroja, ar SE34 paveica dažus kumosus, pirms SE33 izlēca un pēc tam turpināja ēst. 34 labi paēda, kad 33 bija pilns – pēc vakardienas liesās dienas. Tad jauka saulaina diena. Tētis pulksten 13:13 atnesa breksi . SE 33 ēda labi, 34 nedaudz. Pēc tam abi atpūtās, cenšoties nedaudz paslēpties ēnā. Pēcpusdienā lēdija atnesa vēl vairākus lapu smidzinātājus. Beidzot tētis atnesa kaiju un tad pats baroja ligzdas – līdz ieradās kundze un pārņēma barošanu. SE34 labi paēda.
