Please band together to wish the AEF (American Eagle Foundation) a safe and successful rescue.

Although we're unsure when the rescue will take place (very possibly this morning) we've been assured it will. The cam will most likely be turned off during the rescue. But AEF may release footage of it, after the fact.

Thank goodness for AEF and all the raptor rescues across the US. Several offered their help. And at least 2 offered to drive from FL.

We've seen videos of previous, similar rescues by AEF. They are a confident and highly skilled team. Even so. Let's wish them a safe, successful rescue. And a HUGE thank you from the entire eagle community.

The cam will be off during the rescue and updated information will follow the rescue. Lasu jaunumus , ka operācija bijusi veiksmīga,
Ērglēni atpinķerēti no makšķerauklas, un izmeklēti -vecākais ir bijis labā veselības kondīcijā, jaunākais DH18 ir ievietots būrītī un aizvests uz klīniku, jo bijis novājināts. Vēlāk viņu plāno ievietot atpakaļ pie DH17 ligzdā.
Glābšanas operācija itkā esot nofilmēta- tad jāgaida video.

***BREAKING NEWS: EAGLETS SUCCESSFULLY RESCUED.
This is great news.
I’ve just received word that a climber with the American Eagle Foundation successfully made it more than one hundred feet up a tree to an American eagle nest.
It happened the morning and the Dale Hollow Eagle Cam was temporarily down for the rescue.
Hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world have been following this drama.
I’m told the rescue was recorded and will be shared soon.
For those who don’t know, the concern was over two seven-week-old eaglets in a nest along the Tennessee-Kentucky border.
They apparently became tangled in fishing line that was attached to a fish the adult female brought to feed the eaglets.
HERE IS WHAT I KNOW:
The climber successfully removed the fishing line from the eaglets and then inspected the birds.
The larger of the two was in good condition.
But the smaller eaglet was weakened to the point it was decided to remove it for veterinary treatment.
The small bird was placed into a safety case and lowered to the ground.
Apparently, the female adult eagle was nearby observing, but did not interfere with the process.
The plan is to nurse the eaglet back to health and hopefully reunite it with its sibling in the nest.
WHEW … GREAT JOB.

Es tikko saņēmu ziņu, ka Amerikas ērgļu fonda alpīnists veiksmīgi uzbrauca vairāk nekā simts pēdu augstumā kokā līdz amerikāņu ērgļu ligzdai.
Tas notika no rīta, un Dale Hollow Eagle Cam īslaicīgi nedarbojās, lai glābtu.
Simtiem tūkstošu skatītāju visā pasaulē ir sekojuši šai drāmai.
Man teica, ka glābšana tika ierakstīta un drīzumā tiks kopīgota.
Tiem, kas nezina, bažas radīja divi septiņas nedēļas veci ērgļu mazuļi ligzdā gar Tenesī un Kentuki robežu.
Acīmredzot tie sapinušies makšķerēšanas auklā, kas bija piestiprināta zivij, ko pieaugušā mātīte atnesa, lai pabarotu ērgļus.
Lūk, KO ES ZINU:
Alpīnists veiksmīgi noņēma makšķerauklu no ērgļu mazuļiem un pēc tam apskatīja putnus.
Lielākais no abiem bija labā stāvoklī.
Taču mazākais ērgļu mazulis tika novājināts tiktāl, ka tika nolemts to izņemt veterinārai ārstēšanai.
Mazais putns tika ievietots drošības futrālī un nolaists zemē.
Acīmredzot pieaugušā ērgļa mātīte atradās blakus un novēroja, taču procesam netraucēja.
Plāns ir atjaunot ērglēna veselību un, cerams, atkal apvienot to ar savu brāli/māsu ligzdā.
