SWFL Eagles ~What A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT! Sweet Sibling Beaking & Togetherness! Family Time w/ Dad 4.7.23
Lady Hawk

As the day comes to a close, M15 continues to excel in his solo parenting providing food for his offspring and still spending time with them at the end of the day. M15 is seen on the U branch after just delivering another bird to the nest. After eating, E21 heads up the branch and squees at Dad but then quickly calms down and is content to just have him home in the nest tree. What a beautiful sight to see E21 and Dad together like this. E22 is on the nest squeeing and E21 will fly back down to get the last nestovers. E22 then heads up the outer attic to see Dad and mantles & squees at him! M15 is so calm and cool -he just ignores E22. Soon E22 calms down and just has that special quiet time with Dad. E21 will head to the attic and they both will watch M15 fly off for the evening. They track his flight across the street and keep watching the sky until he disappears to his nightly roosting place. It tugs at your heart strings to see them watching Dad fly away as we know that their time together will be coming to a end soon. That is why these moments are so special and soon they will be the memories we will cherish.
Enjoy some excellent zooming and closeups of E22 first on the U branch and then E21 on the attic.
In this video, M15 pushes a rogue eagle intruder out of the nest. This female intruder has been spending the last few nights on the outer branch of the nest. On Valentine night she arrived to the nest at around 6:45 pm and stayed overnight. This female rogue eagle intruder was later ID'ed as R23-3 by the administrators of the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam. On the day this video was recorded, she decided to go inside the nest and eat a fish that M15 had delivered for his offsprings. M15 landed on the attic and warned the intruder but she did not leave the nest. M15 came down from the attic and confronted the intruder. Dad pushed the intruder out of the nest. During the altercation you can see feathers, nesting materials, and a fish flying out of the nest. This scene was terrifying for me since I knew our two precious eaglets were inside the nest. Miraculously, the eaglets were not injured. Dad left the area and returned a few minutes later. Eventually this female rogue eagle known as R23-3, formed a bond with the eaglets to the point that she fed them on one occasion. She left the nest tree on Sunday, March 7 of 2023 and never returned. The findings in this video are my personal opinions based on my observations. Please take my findings with a grain of salt! This video was recorded on Wednesday, February 15 of 2023. At the time this footage was recorded, E21 was 42 days old and E22 was 39 days old. This is a public video. You may share it at your discretion. This footage is part of a series that was recorded after Hurricane Ian destroyed the main nest and Harriet's disappearance. Enjoy the video! E 21 on the spike perch it showed up just after Mighty M came in, and E 22 in the nest still hanging onto the fish. M is behind them in the nest with the Little Green Heron. Lady eagle is on the attic branch
Lady Eagle comes down off the attic branch. I think she thought she had a landing spot, but the E's moved and she got a hold of both of them
Lady eagle now with a hold on I'am not sure but both E's are being pulled out of the nest
