You Each Made A Difference. (MoonCamp)
After just watching Shadow bringing in an Uber Eats fish meal for his family (17:49), I felt that I wanted to ponder a bit as Super Dad has some time with his young treasured chick. After all this time Jackie and Shadow have a “Lill” Warrior to take care of. Another family feeding that I have just now seen is a gift too so many that have followed their journey, or just began to follow it, or peek in at it from around the world. The magical moment that the eagles appear to smile, and our spirits serenade with pure joy. It is all possible because of a Jeffrey pine, and a house that they call home 145 feet aloft in this wonderful tree. A home that they selected a half mile above Big Bear Lake.
This is indeed wonderful news that a project that would have intruded on this rare serenity that is a home not only to the eagles, but many other of their neighbors that also make this their special place. An answer to many of my prayers and tears over the past two years. I want to take this opportunity to salute Sandy Steers, Teri Ashmore, FOBBVCam, and all those involved with bringing light and reason to the potential perils of the proposed project. There was much that was at risk with the oversights in pursuit of these ideas and goals. Every email, every prayer, every donation made a big difference.
We all want Big Bear to continue to flourish, but at what expense. What do we tell the next generation, and what do they tell the one after. Is it that in pursuit of more that we ultimately destroyed what we had in pursuit of what we thought we needed. This is the only nesting pair in this area, it is a priceless gift, a National symbol of peace and freedom. Let us be wise what we decide.
Thank you ALL so much for ALL your contributions. This is indeed a day to soar the azure skies Eagle Family.
It is often the small things that bring the things that are life changing, but are all too often overlooked along the way because we think that they are not big enough to make a difference.
Light

Shadow back for a family tuck in.
What a beautiful sight to see Shadow come in at nightfall for a family meal (19:16 S in). It is a new season and one that is the result of much that has been overcome. I know we wanted them to have an eaglet to nurture and teach to go out into the sky and soar. It makes me ponder how much this means to them.
The energy was simply transcendent with Shadow briefly taking his position in the nest bowl, while Jackie continued to snack. This continued with Shadow moving around the nest. I called him “Super Dad In Waiting” on a post a while ago, but now he has that title, he has become the quintessential BAEA dad.
As Shadow departed at 19:30, it gives me another glimpse of how epic this season is shaping up to be. I can only imagine what the pages of each chapter might hold as the Mighty penman fills the pages yet to be written. I await for every dawn arising so nature sets its stage for things that will be surprising. I can only dream of this wonder, but soon it will be all revealed to us right under the canopy atop of the lofty tree the Eagles and their “Lill Warrior call home. All this because two eagles did not give up, they just kept moving forward refining, preparing, learning, growing, bonding, and now they are holding the future generation with every joyous momemt.
The wait is bitter but the fruit is sweet. Good night Jackie, Shadow, “Lill Warrior”, and the still precious egg that has its place right where mom and dad call Home.
Perseverance brings surprising gifts along the path of this wonderful thing called life.
