Hope Fulfilled

It has been just over a week since one of the eggs hatched and we had e new life in the nest. We have had such cause for celebration after two longs years of no additions to this wonderful bond of Jackie and Shadow.
There have been so many moments since that time that have been truly priceless and unforgettable. The one of Jackie and Shadow with their first family feeding, the first time Jackie let Shadow feed the new bundle. The time on 3/9 that Shadow was on the nest in the morning, and the bobblehead ( a term of endearment for a chick) first displayed its tenor like vocals. We might have another one as vocal as Simba on our hands. A word of warning, turn your volume down. So many unique moments will make up the tapestry of this season.
The journey to this point has had many twists and turns, obstacles and opportunities, surprises and sunrises , but much triumphs in the tests because the two bald eagles that we observe so closely never gave up at what they saw, instead continuing to prepare and move forward for all that one day will be.
Their reality is mighty and not through a lens of statistics, paradigms and norms. They are connected to their purpose and potential with the unlimited script of Nature in its purest sense. We can learn so much, and put some of it to practice into our lives. It gives us the inspiration that our journey is not defined through our experiences, but our response to them.
Don't think back to how it was, or what you think it should be, as you will miss the Promise that the future is awaiting to give you in your time ahead.
It’s a wonderful forecast as Jackie and Shadow continue to fill the chapters of this unique and magical season. What became of the little brother or sister in the egg that did not hatch we may never know. The little one we have celebrates its new life every morning alongside the mystery of what could have been in the priceless container, a place that the new warrior of the azure sky also once called its home. I would have thrilled at the joy of them both growing in the nest side by side. I would have loved for Jackie and Shadow to have had the experience of their hard work with a brother and sister. The two learning and becoming best of friends. The final morning with them maybe soaring into the expansive azure for the final time. A glimpse that I would have gladly treasured through my tears as they departed on their next chapter. The one that they were so diligently prepared to thrive by a wonderful mom and dad.
What we do have to celebrate, however, is all that is now here in a wonderful presence of the treasured young life that we are getting to know. To see Jackie and Shadow’s loving care through their warm glances. Each feeding a beautiful display of gentle affection. The peeks while tucked under one of them to see its kingdom from atop of the tallest Jeffrey pine. The joy of learning so much from two quintessential bald eagle parents. It is going to be a great gift for us all, as we get to turn the pages of the life that will be preparing for its big day, when it departs on its mysterious pilgrimage aloft and soaring in the sky. As we ponder let us slow our minds down to enjoy the process and contemplate the immensity that this young life represents. What we have now has come through everything that was before. Each stick and nesting material delivered to make the nest just so. Each storm that Jackie and Shadow have remained in place to guard their eggs. The thousands of hours of incubation during this season and the past two before it. Every challenge and circumstance that has been endured and overcome. Indeed it works to make what we have all the more tremendous and treasured. Let us celebrate this new addition with every dawn and dusk chortle, as before long it will depart, and we shall be left with tears and smiles, but a heart that has found something that it would not have wanted to miss for the Eagle Bliss. Rejoice my friends as this is your gift for your love of this Mighty Eagle story. Bless Jackie and Shadow and the bundle of joy.
