Weighing at Quarry Track took place at 10am this morning.
Quarry Track chick is now 27 days of age, the countdown to post guard stage is on. Elsewhere in the colony a couple of chicks have had a little alone time but are not formally in the post guard stage just yet.
In one week the Quarry Track chick has gone from 1.65kg to 2.4kg. This is a very good, steady weight increase in one week and has been driven by the very frequent changeovers between OGK and YRK. Many other nests in the colony are enjoying these frequent changeovers also. At the moment a lengthy changeover time is around 4 to 6 days.

Quarry Track cālim tagad ir 27 dienas, ir ieslēgta atpakaļskaitīšana līdz apsardzes posteņa stadijai. Citviet kolonijā pāris cāļi ir mazliet pavadījuši laiku vienatnē, bet formāli vēl nav pasta apsardzes stadijā.
Nedēļas laikā Quarry Track cālis no 1,65 kg ir pieaudzis līdz 2,4 kg. Tas ir ļoti labs, vienmērīgs svara pieaugums vienas nedēļas laikā, un to ir izraisījusi ļoti bieža maiņa starp OGK un YRK. Arī daudzas citas kolonijas ligzdas izbauda šīs biežās maiņas. Šobrīd ilgs pārejas laiks ir aptuveni 4 līdz 6 dienas.
