Fanastic February
Jackie was awaking and getting ready for a brand new day. The camera was about to switch from it’s IR setting, (we get to see them, they don’t see us setting), to daylight mode. Infrared (IR) cameras have a sensor that measures the ambient light. There was a sense of beauty, sernity and powerful contemplation all wrapped in a gift of a stage that is set high above the Lake. The half mile stretch to the Jeffrey pine that houses a BAEA nest on it’s 145ft canopied top. A splendid home, with the best view of any other.
This the very first day of February and the hope of new things blossoms at every turn of the clock. I love that the hope of new things springs up from the Lake. It gives a sense of potential that is equananimous, and independant of what is going on in the flux around us. The clock had just turned 06:34:24 and Shadow did a perfect 10 landing on Jackie’s branch on the front porch. He is such an expectant daddy to be, and what inspiration for us to behold. It gives us the unction to pursue the things that we want in our lives. This amazing camera shows us that the things that we wantt can too be like the eagles, the other side of challenges, things not working when we want, or how we want, but always on the other side of a persevering desire and effort.
As the camera lens shifted from IR to daylight and Shadow had taken his position to incubate, a magical scene of a tapestry of colors appeared in the backdrop behind him. What a wonderful view above the noise and bustle, what a lens above the limits of peripheral vision to an eye of an Eagle. Oh what might they see about life that I down here do not? What might my vision be missing? Thoughts I often ponder. Give me the eyes of an eagle so I can not grow weary by what I see, or don’t see, so that maybe what I need is close, like a whisper. A perspective shift, a glass half full, not half empty. The possibility dear eagle friend will always be in the way that you see things, because when you change the way that you see things, the things that you see begin to change. The same way that the wonderful presence of the skyline behind Shadow was there before the IR shifted, it might just be a tiny shift that you can make that will change your entire backdrop!
I am naming this month Fantastic February, because as we witness the two priceless eggs, more precious that any pearl, or thing with a price attached, we will await PIP watch from 2/26. An exciting time as what we see is what it is, but as with the skyline, the switch to daylight makes what we thought was not there, to be there all the while.
I sense a spirit of the IR switch in our possibilities Eagle Family. There is never the right time, but there is always the right steps to create it.
Have a wonderful soaring month, this is Fantastic February, when great things shall become revealed. Bless Jackie and Shadow and their diligence, dedication, perseverance and hard work. Let their season encourage those that watch from around the world to send the good news that change is at the otherside of what we do not yet see, but can be a switch away.
