Nature’s Performance. (Shadow Sees His Precious Egg)

Jackie had a peaceful night each time that I peered in. She was spending time off the egg to delay incubation, in the likelihood of there being Egg #2, or #3, or rarely #4. (PLEASE SEE TERI ASHMORE ADMIN POST)
Don't be alarmed until then, as it's fine for eggs to remain uncovered long enough to give you the jitters! The Eagles know what they are doing, they were created for it. Each season is unique and different, and that is what makes it the marvelous penman. It reveals itself through process, with Eagles learning, experts learning, and viewers all at the same time.
Jackie left the nest at about 06:37, and returned at 07:00.
Then came the moment that my heart was pounding to see, Shadow arrives at 07:23. He doesn’t immediately see the egg, but the sense was that he was very aware. Jackie gets up some minutes later. and all is revealed. She flies off at 07:26, and Shadow is left alone for the first time with his priceless gift. I was again not able to stop my tears falling dowm my cheeks. Joy, relief, elation, dancing, jumping, more coffee, and the inspiration to grasp life is never what you see today, or don’t see today, or the obstacles or challenges that you face, it will always be your response to them that will determine your future.
It is indeed a day to celebrate that obstacles are not the end, but opportunities to move forward with greater focus, determination, and will to do what you are here to do. This was always happening at the other side of what looked like an end. It is now a new beginning. I’ve been watching Jackie and Shadow since 2018, and they are more bonded, with greater capacity, and more grace than anytime before. May they be blessed and protected, and go on and have the next generation fledge ,learn, give joy to Jackie and Shadow, captivate and move, bring us to tears of hope and joy.
We salute you Jackie and Shadow, we watch over you, and declare this the season of the harvest. Trust The Eagles. Our future is well as our hope comes from The Lake.

​➡J&S spent the day with their new egg. Both delayed incubation today, suggesting that another egg may be in the works. Down around the nest bowl provides increased evidence of brood patch development.

​➡Bald Eagles practice delayed incubation. They will not incubate full-time until the whole clutch is laid. You may see J&S get off the egg and let it cool down for extended periods of time
