The storm in Finland some days ago caused trouble for one known osprey nest, the nest tree fell down and of the three chicks only two were found alive. Activists tried to offer the chicks for possible parents nearby for two days. No parent showed up. A human took the osprets to his own sauna with a pleasant warmth and the chicks cheered up. As parents didn't show up people decided to try to give the orphans to another osprey nest nearby where only one of the three eggs had hatched, and these orphan chicks are about the same size with the hatched chick. Next day it looked good: all three chicks looked well and the adoption parents were presentSo it may go well with the orphans :2thumbsup:
Ospreys are rare and protected also in Finland, so this might help one clutch.
