Ne velti Nessis ligzdā trenējās saķert medījumu nagos izmantojot tam bruņurupuča čaulu, redz kā iegūtās prasmes noder
Ceru, ka medījumu Nessis ir noķēris pats

Fantastiski, vai ne Un tāda iespēja redzēt vecāku un ērglēna sadarbību pēc izlidošanas no ligzdas!
Zini, mani nepamet doma, ka Thulanes rīcība, nozogot medījumu no ligzdas arī varētu būt mazuļa audzināšanas/apmācību sastāvdaļa. Jo citādi taču viņš varētu nenest medījumu uz ligzdu, bet apēst uzreiz viens. Man liekas, ka vecāki izspēlē mazajam priekšā "medījuma atņemšanu" un turklāt mazulim jāsajūt bada sajūta - kā ir, kad paliek bez ēdiena. Nākošajā reizē jau Nessis bija piesardzīgs gan pret tēvu, gan pret māti - aizsargājot ēdienu, cenšoties apēst uzreiz pēc iespējas vairāk, cik lien... un tikai tad palaida Emoyeni pie ēšanas.

Well done parents, Nessi looks as if he owns the skies!
The moment came much to soon Nessi and parents took flights along the ridge at 16h00 & 18h20 this afternoon. Soon Nessi will leave the area. My neighbour Wikus captured these photos of one of the parents last week and of Nessi today. Our beautiful juvenile eagle Nessi ~ soaring the skies!

Hi everyone its Ernest here and I have something to share with you. Today I saw some intense aggression towards the juvenile which is a sign that the poor things’ time with us is running out. Today both adults made turns continuously attacking Nessi until he flew for cover into the nearest tree. Eventually after the assault on Nessi the adults left the area. After a while I saw the two Verreaux’s Eagle adults flying in and “BOOM” two other adult Verreaux’s Eagles following them. This is unusual because Verreaux’s Eagles are highly territorial. All four eagles flew peacefully over the gorge , I did not see any sign of aggression and after a minute all four flew off into the east.

Video: Nessi and adults battle for food - Nessis ēdis vecāku nesto medījumu viens ilgu laiku, bet šajā video ir redzams maltītes noslēgums, kad vecāki izlemj, ka nu jau pietiek Nessim ēst.
A short clip of the behavior of adult Verreaux's eagles towards the juvenile while food is around.
Nessi was first to eat and he did so for over an hour and then this video plays out where the adults decided you had enough now.
No, the adults havent chased Nessi away yet and they still bring food for him. Nessi is practicing his hunting on trees but havent stated to hunt on his own.
