Black Eagle Project Roodekran's Facebook page in response to a question of not seeing a parent, or any food, on the nest recently:
-"This is the last month for the juvenile on the nest and its parents will spend less time with it on the nest too. Food will also become a little less than usual and the youngster now prepares for its first flight, with a number of wing excercises noted, which limits the adults being on the nest too, space is tight. The juvenile too has to entertain itself, they all do, it's a matter of weeks now before it leaves the nest."
-"Black Eagle Project Roodekrans The way it is wing exercising, it will fledge soon and that's an indication that it is a boy. Looks like a boy bird!"
