Makes me tear up thinking of Dad's former mate, Mum, and how many days he must have waited for her to return, only to realize she wasn't coming back. So happy when Lady chose him as her *forever* mate. Working together, Lady & Dad raised SE17, a seaglet that captured our hearts. I wish for Dad & Lady the very best in the days, months and years ahead. I also wish for SE17 the very best in his days and years of independence. May he one day so impress a female with his strength & skills that she will choose him above all others vying for her attention to be her *forever mate*.

Ir kādas pazīmes?
I just thought I would quickly share this amazing story of 2 of the 25 raptors in care here with me at #HigherGroundRaptors. White and grey is an adult Sea Eagle - shot and found starving. Came to me from Taronga Zoo. The other a dying emaciated new fledgling, came from a central coast carer organisation. Guess what, my detective work showed they came from 20 klms apart where the family is known to feed on Ibis at a local tip, the young one was found 8 days after the parent was shot, and their reunion here was overwhelming. The God of Raptors shone down on them to bring them back together!!! Lucky me to be part of their journey.
