Zivs izkrīt no ligzdas, be tētis to uzreiz savāc un uznes atpakaļ ligzdā

Interesanta doma.

https://www.facebook.com/portlincolnosp ... 188016073/Thank you to everyone who has sent messages and enquired about the recent death of Solly the first Australian Osprey ever to be fitted with a Satellite Tracker. Through the information provided by the tracker we became aware that Solly had not moved for some time and Richard Hobbs from Streaky Bay was good enough to recover the body from the base of a power line.
We wish to extend our sincere thanks to Richard, Tobin and Jonas Woolford who transported the body (700km) to the The University of Adelaide Vet Diagnostic Laboratory at Roseworthy where a necropsy was conducted. The University did this in very short time and at no cost - thank you so much for your help.
The report has been forwarded to Ian Falkenberg who will interpret the medicial terminology and provide the details to the South Australian Osprey and White-bellied Sea-Eagle Group. While I won't go into the medical terminology electrocution is confirmed as the cause of death.
Discussions have already commenced with SA Power Networks as to how electrocution of this endangered species and indeed other species can be avoided in future. This is of course no small task but thanks to the work done with Solly and the tracker we have another piece of the puzzle to work with.
