September 11: late afternoon yesterday Lady left them again on the nest – and the wind was really strong. Then she brought a big fish in at last light, eating well herself – then feeding them – 35 ate well, then 36. She then settled over them again on the nest. She covered them all night and in the morning looked quite wet. Dad brought part of a fish just after 6am and she fed 35 a little–then covered them again when rain started. She was seen shivering –to warm herself. Dad came to the nest around 9am –Lady straight up before he could take the fish. Lady offered some of left-over fish to 35, turned away - ate herself then after a few minutes 36 moved closer and fed well until all gone. She had a quick shake of her wet feathers, then covered them again –still raining. She left again at 9:41, with a shake and away, leaving them alone –both chittering away. She returned to cover them after a short break. Then away again. Dad came in briefly looking for scraps –fed 36 one little bit –then off. The nestlings were busy grooming their wet fluff and itching and the weather was improving. Dad brought in a gull at 14:42, Lady fed both, 35 first. Dad came in after and fed a few scraps to 36 – both then well fed, lying in the nest bowl. Another fish brought just after 5pm, fed by Lady – both ate. She then settled over them just before 6pm.
11. septembris: vakar vēlā pēcpusdienā Lēdija atkal atstāja tos uz ligzdā – un vējš bija patiešām stiprs. Tad, beidzot ausmā, viņa atnesa lielu zivi, pati labi ēda – tad pabaroja tos – se35 labi paēda, tad se 36. Tad viņa atkal nosēdās virs tiem uz ligzdas. Viņa tos apsedza visu nakti, un no rīta tie izskatījās diezgan slapji. Tētis atnesa daļu zivs īsi pēc pulksten 6:00 no rīta, un viņa nedaudz pabaroja se35 – tad atkal apsedza, kad sāka līt lietus. Bija redzams, ka viņa dreb – lai sasildītos. Tētis ieradās ligzdā ap pulksten 9:00 no rīta – Lēdija uzreiz piecēlās, pirms viņš varēja paņemt zivis. Lēdija piedāvāja se35 dažas no atlikušajām zivīm, pagriezās prom – pati apēda, tad pēc dažām minūtēm se36 piegāja tuvāk un labi paēda, līdz visas bija beigušās. Viņa ātri pakratīja savas slapjās spalvas, tad atkal tās apsedza – joprojām lija. Viņa atkal aizgāja pulksten 9:41, pakratīja un aizgāja, atstājot tos vienus – abus čivinot. Pēc īsas pauzes viņa atgriezās, lai tos apsegtu. Tad atkal aizgāja. Tētis īsi ienāca, meklējot pārtikas atliekas – pabaroja se36 – un tad devās prom. Putnēni bija aizņemti, pucējot savas slapjās pūkas un kāju kauliņus, un laiks uzlabojās. Tētis atnesa kaiju pulksten 14:42, lēdija pabaroja abus, vispirms se35. Tētis ienāca pēc tam un pabaroja se36 ar dažiem pārtikas atlikumiem – abi tad bija labi paēduši, un tie gulēja ligzdas bļodā. Vēl viena zivtiņa tika atnesta nedaudz pēc pulksten 17:00, to pabaroja lēdija – abi paēda. Tad viņa nosēdās virs tiem tieši pirms pulksten 18:00.
