Big Bear Lake Bald Eagles

The eagles have been out most times of day. Juveniles seem to be more to the east end of the lake and Shadow and Mama are in the habitat and surrounding areas. I have no confirmation of identification on Papa or Stormy for about one month yet i'm certain I hear Papa in the distance near shore or to the north of where I stay most often. I also do believe Stormy could be the juvenile I've seen and taken distant photographs of at Juniper Pt. We do have positive indicators that Papa aka Mr B and Stormy are still both in town. Shadow and Mama are most definitely united and have a bond of some kind. I do notice Mama aka Jackie does look at Shadow far more fondly now ad she once would only look over or to the sides of Shadow when they were close. This morning brought a nice observation of Shadow and Mama preening, sunning and doing sweet vocals. Shadow has got a deficiency in vocalizing and does not keep up with Mama and her STRONG conversation. I do believe Shadows voice is stronger and less bouts of silent vocals since June when I first noticed Shadow could barely get a sound out. Mama did seem far more in the lead as usual while Shadow stares on and still does some mimicking of Mama's moves. The days are quite pleasant for wintertime and we encourage all to get out and enjoy observing the eagles and to part take in the eagle count this Saturday if you are in town. It was a peaceful and gorgeous day here in the eagles neighborhood by Big Bear Lake! - Trish

Starp citu, varbūt šajā tēmā vairāk apskatītās ligzdas atdalīt atsevišķās tēmās?
Varbūt Dale Hollow, Berry? Varbūt vēl kādu? Ja jau tik ilgi sekojam, būtu vieglāk orientēties.
lianaliesma, es varētu kaut kur ļoti vecajās tēmās pameklēt Tavus komentārus, kuri varētu nostāties kā pirmie un tad vienkārši pārnest katras ligzdas komentārus uz jaunajām tēmām.

Manuprāt Dale Hollow jau noteikti prasītos atdalīt, jo šai ligzdai tiek diezgan rūpīgi piesekots. Varbūt Dale Hollow var "savākt" gan no šejienes, gan no iepriekšējo gadu tēmas?

Kopīgajā Amerikas ērgļu tēmā varēsim turpināt pievienot jaunās adresītes, līdz atkal izkristalizēsies paliekošās ligzdas, kā tas bija ar Floridas abām ligzdām, Dekoras un Z-Dekoras, un arī Čenela salu ligzdām.

I'm back to eagle observations and today started with Papa alone upon the fave perch tree. Papa aka Mr B has been seen flying around with Mama and Shadow and also heard down on shore when I've observed Mama with Shadow. Today, Mama and Shadow were making loud vocals on shore and Papa was perched not far away up on the fave perch tree. Papa was turning his head toward the sounds. It did not take much chatter which came in bursts to attract him into jumping perch and flying toward shore. I observed Papa for about thirty minutes while he did fine detailed maintenance to his talons and preened briefly. Later in the day I observed two eagles soaring quickly by Windy Pt and not able to see where they were going to. It's been a wonderful day here in the eagles neighborhood by Big Bear Lake! - Trish
