July 30: another cold morning, Dad came in early just before 7am (not sure where he was last night) Lady came back very quickly though – after only 16 minutes. Dad came back at 7:54, there was a duet at the nest, then he left again. Lady re-arranged the eggs and nearby leaves, then settled again. She is sitting tight- Dad returned at 9am and sat for around an hour, leaving as soon as Lady came back, with some leaves. She sat for 43minutes, then Dad for 53minutes. Then in the middle of the day, something seemed to be disturbing Lady – she was on and off the eggs, leaving them uncovered and even completely unattended - for over an hour total. Was there an intruder in the area? And where was Dad? Later in the afternoon things were quieter though Lady was heard calling off the nest, until Dad returned and sat for nearly an hour at 16:24. Then Lady returned with a small bream at 17:18. After eating she settled on the eggs and for the evening. Lady incubated the eggs for a total 7h33m, Dad for 3h5m and the eggs were uncovered for 1h22m total For the first time, the eggs were left alone on the nest for a total of 1h4m – a disturbed day.
30. jūlijs: kārtējais auksts rīts, tētis ienāca agri īsi pirms 7:00 (nav pārliecināts, kur viņš bija pagājušajā naktī). Lēdija tomēr atgriezās ļoti ātri – tikai pēc 16 minūtēm. Tētis atgriezās 7:54, pie ligzdas bija duets, tad viņš atkal aizgāja. Lēdija pārkārtoja olas un tuvējās lapas, tad atkal apmetās. Viņa sēž cieši — tētis atgriezās pulksten 9:00 un sēdēja apmēram stundu, aizbraucot, tiklīdz lēdija atgriezās ar dažām lapām. Viņa sēdēja 43 minūtes, tad tētis 53 minūtes. Tad dienas vidū šķita, ka lēdiju kaut kas satrauca — viņa bija uz un no olām, atstājot tās neaizsegtas un pat pilnīgi bez uzraudzības — kopumā vairāk nekā stundu. Vai šajā rajonā bija kāds iebrucējs? Un kur bija tētis? Vēlāk pēcpusdienā viss bija klusāks, lai gan tika dzirdēts, ka lēdija izsauc ligzdu, līdz tētis atgriezās un sēdēja gandrīz stundu pulksten 16:24. Tad lēdija ar mazu breksi atgriezās pulksten 17:18. Pēc ēšanas viņa apmetās uz olām un uz vakaru. Dāma olas inkubēja kopā 7h33m, tētis 3h5m un olas tika atklātas 1h22m kopā Pirmo reizi olas tika atstātas vienas uz ligzdas kopā 1h4m – satraukta diena.
