November 6: last night 35 spent time sleeping on a branch, with 36 in the nest bowl or on the rim. Awake early, they flapped and stretched and 35 ventured right up higher, then flying back to the bowl. Both were alert as Lady brought in an early gull chick at 6:25, this time feeding them herself, though they did find a few scraps. Later a little eaglet duet at 7:11. Excitement then when 35 flew off to the adjacent tree and further away at 7:47– then could be heard close by. Currawong calling and swooping Lady above the nest camera. 36 stayed close on PB, while 35 appeared to move closer around 10am and around 10:10 was seen flying below the nest –returning at 10:16, a little clumsily, but learning. Both then were near the nest bowl, waiting. Lady flew in with a young gull at 12:21 –feed 36 a little , 35 ate some itself, then she fed 35 again as 36 turned aside. Back again though and both ate well. They both spent the afternoon in the sun and exploring a little on the branches – then resting together in the bowl. When Dad brought in a big eel at 16:49, Lady followed him in and they were quick to leap up –Lady started to feed them. Self-feeding is hard with the tough eel skin. A long eel meal. Dad finished off a little himself last thing. Then more, after ark dad brought a fish, which Lady fed to them, then ate some themselves, and Dad ate too. What a day.
6. novembris: pagājušajā naktī 35 gulēja uz zara, bet 36 atradās ligzdas bļodā vai uz tās malas. Agri pamodušies, tie vicināja spārnus, izstaipījās un 35 uzlēca augstāk un tad atgriezās ligzdas bļodā. Abi bija modri, kad Lady atnesa agru kaijas mazuli pulksten 6:25, šoreiz barojot tos pati, lai gan viņi atrada arī dažus gabaliņus. Vēlāk pulksten 7:11 notika mazu ērgļu duets. Tad sajūsma iestājās, kad 35 pulksten 7:47 aizlidoja uz blakus esošo koku un tālāk – tad to varēja dzirdēt tuvumā. Virs ligzdas kameras bija dzirdama karavongas sauciena un Lady lidošanas sauciena dziesma. 36 palika tuvu PB, savukārt 35, šķiet, tuvojās ap pulksten 10:00, un ap pulksten 10:10 tika redzēts lidojam zem ligzdas – atgriezās pulksten 10:16, nedaudz neveikli, bet mācoties. Tad abi bija netālu no ligzdas bļodas, gaidot. Lēdija ielidoja ar jaunu kaiju pulksten 12:21 – nedaudz pabaroja 36, 35 pati nedaudz apēda, tad atkal pabaroja 35, kad 36 nogriezās malā. Tomēr viņa atgriezās atpakaļ, un abi labi paēda. Viņi abi pavadīja pēcpusdienu saulē un nedaudz izpētīja zarus – pēc tam kopā atpūtās bļodā. Kad tētis pulksten 16:49 atnesa lielu zuti, Lēdija sekoja viņam, un viņi ātri uzlēca augšā – Lēdija sāka viņus barot. Pašiem baroties ir grūti ar cieto zuša ādu. Gara zuša maltīte. Tētis pats nedaudz apēda pēdējā. Tad vēl, pēc šķirsta tētis atnesa zivi, ar kuru Lēdija viņus pabaroja, tad paši apēda, un tētis arī ēda. Kāda diena!

November 7: 35 was very active flying up and down after an early quartet. They found some fish leftovers and Lady fed them, as well as some self-feeding- picking a bit. She was off- then back very quickly with a large fish – ate a lot herself then fed them too. Then a warm morning on the nest, with some flapping and exercising. Still waiting in the afternoon and adventuring round the nest tree. 36 is gaining confidence and strength. Just after 4pm both adults were down on the river- one missed catch was seen. Just before 6pm both flew below the nest together. So fledge at last for 36. Both then flew below and back again several times in the nest tree. 7pm – still waiting for maybe a last prey delivery?
7. novembris: 35 bija ļoti aktīvs, lidojot augšup un lejup pēc agra kvarteta. Viņi atrada dažas zivju paliekas, un Lady tās pabaroja, kā arī dažas barojās pašas - mazliet plūkāja. Viņa devās prom un tad ļoti ātri atgriezās ar lielu zivi - pati daudz apēda un tad pabaroja arī viņas. Tad silts rīts uz ligzdas, vicinot zivis un vingrojot. Pēcpusdienā joprojām gaidu un piedzīvojumus ap ligzdas koku. 36 iegūst pārliecību un spēku. Tieši pēc pulksten 16:00 abi pieaugušie īpatņi bija lejā uz upes - tika redzēts viens neveiksmīgs loms. Tieši pirms pulksten 18:00 abi kopā pārlidoja zem ligzdas. Tā nu 36. beidzot izlidoja apspalvoties. Tad abi vairākas reizes pārlidoja lejā un atpakaļ ligzdas kokā. Pulksten 19:00 - joprojām gaidu, iespējams, pēdējo medījuma piegādi?

November 8– last night adults came in to the nest – with a currawong swooper – but no late prey. A quiet night, then all awake early. Eaglets flapping around and flying between the nest tree branches until 35 flew off at 6:55, but could be heard fairly close by – and shortly after back closer again. Both are gaining skill, flying here and there close by. Then at 8:50 one chewing on our camera mountings and ropes, and de-feathering the microphone covering –not helpful. As the wind got stronger they began to pick at leaves too. At 11am both had returned to the nest to rest in the sun. Mid-afternoon, both still waiting for a feed on a windy afternoon. Just after 4pm a little rain started, but didn’t last long. Finally dad bought a gull at 6pm, 36 was very quick to rush in and grab it, mantling well. 36 self-fed for a few minutes until the steal, when 35 took it. Lady came in earlier when Dad delivered and she sat, watching, with challenged 36 then by her side. Lady came to the nest though and took some of the gull, feeding 36 and then both as 35 finished its scraps. 36 found some scraps as well. Both then were flying around the nest loop –then waiting, maybe for more.
8. novembris — pagājušajā naktī ligzdā ieradās pieaugušie īpatņi — ar svilpienu —, bet vēlu upuru nebija. Klusa nakts, tad visi agri pamostas. Ērglēni, kas plivināja apkārt un lidoja starp ligzdas koku zariem, līdz 35 aizlidoja plkst. 6:55, bet tos varēja dzirdēt diezgan tuvu — un neilgi pēc tam atkal atgriezās tuvāk. Abi apgūst prasmes, lidojot šurpu turpu tuvumā. Tad plkst. 8:50 viens grauza mūsu kameru stiprinājumus un virves, kā arī atdala mikrofona pārsegu — tas nepalīdzēja. Vējam pieņemoties spēkā, tie sāka plūkt arī lapas. Plkst. 11:00 abi bija atgriezušies ligzdā, lai atpūstos saulē. Pēcpusdienā abi joprojām gaidīja barošanos vējainā pēcpusdienā. Tieši pēc plkst. 16:00 sāka līt neliels lietus, bet tas neturpinājās ilgi. Visbeidzot, tētis plkst. 18:00 atnesa kaiju, 36 ļoti ātri metās un noķēra to, labi ģērbjoties. 36 dažas minūtes barojās pats, līdz nozaga, kad 35 to noķēra. Dāma ieradās agrāk, kad tētis dzemdēja, un viņa sēdēja un vēroja, kamēr 36 viņai blakus. Dāma tomēr pienāca pie ligzdas un paņēma nedaudz kaijas, pabarojot 36. un tad abus, kad 35 pabeidza savas atliekas. Arī 36. dēls atrada dažas atliekas. Tad abi lidoja ap ligzdas cilpu – tad gaidīja, varbūt vēl.

November 9: at night possum passed and eaglets reacted. They were awake early with a quartet before the adults left. Both then flew from branch to branch close by and then returning to the nest from a fly around –on a windy morning too. A first flying adventure for 36. One adult was seen with a catch down on the River roost at 6:39. Lady brought it in at 6:47 – a gull carcass – and 36 was quick to fly in and claim it, self-feeding well. 35 was close -from squonks and currawong calls- and came in. Lady took the bird, leaving 35 with a piece –then feeding 35, with 36 watching. Then however, she fed 36 too – with 35 picking a few scraps. Both ate well. Later after flapping around, both were on other branches nearby, squonking together at a swooper in the sun, then just sitting. At 11:40 36 followed 35 to the nest, then to other branches again – waiting. Lady brought in a juvenile gull finally at 14:45 and fed both some, and herself. Late Dad brought a fish, which proved hard for the eaglets – Lady came and fed both then. At end of day they were both sitting by the nest having eaten well –then moving around a bit more close by.

Tad abi lidoja no zara uz zaru tuvumā un pēc tam atgriezās ligzdā no lidojuma – turklāt vējainā rītā. Pirmais lidošanas piedzīvojums 36. Viens pieaugušais putns tika redzēts ar lomu upē plkst. 6:39. Lēdija to atnesa plkst. 6:47 – kaijas maitas – un 36 steidzās to paņemt, labi barojoties. 35 bija tuvu – no squonks un circeņu saucieniem – un atgriezās. Lēdija paņēma putnu, atstājot 35 ar gabaliņu – tad baroja 35, 36. vērojot. Tad tomēr viņa pabaroja arī 36 – 35 salasot dažas drupačas. Abi labi ēda. Vēlāk pēc lidināšanās abi bija uz citiem tuvumā esošajiem zariem, kopā sauļodamies saulē, tad vienkārši sēdēja. Plkst. 11:40 36 sekoja 35 uz ligzdu, tad atkal uz citiem zariem – gaidot beidzot plkst. 14:45 atnesa mazu kaiju un pabaroja abus mazuļus, kā arī sevi. Vēlais tētis atnesa zivi, kas ērglēniem izrādījās grūti – ērglēni atnāca un tad pabaroja abus. Dienas beigās viņi abi sēdēja pie ligzdas, labi paēduši – tad pārvietojās nedaudz tuvāk.

November 10: continued – in the afternoon, the eaglets sat side by side near the nest in the sun – a warm day. Dad was nearby, with a currawong swooping him from time to time. He left just after 4pm –and the eaglets still sitting there together. Late afternoon, one flew – and then went to the nest just after 6pm and further up the nearby branch. The second joined it then – both close to the nest– both flying back to the nest from nearby. Last thing at 6:20 Dad brought a bream, closely followed by Lady. 36 was quick to the nest to claim the fish and started feeding – with the other watching from branch nearby. The watcher then flew across to near the camera and managed it back to the nest at 18:36. Lady then fed 35, as 36 stepped aside. She fed both a little then 36 moved to the branch, with Lady feeding 35 still. 35 then continued self-feeding when Lady left Then more, Dad with a gull at 19:40 –rushed by 35 and 36 returned to the nest too. 35 however self-fed until Lady came at 19:49 and ate herself. At dark, 36 was on nest and 35 on branch nearby.

Viņš devās prom īsi pēc plkst. 16.00 — un ērglēni joprojām sēdēja tur kopā. Vēlā pēcpusdienā viens aizlidoja — un tad īsi pēc plkst. 18.00 devās uz ligzdu tālāk pa tuvējo zaru. Tad tam pievienojās otrs — abi netālu no ligzdas — abi lidoja atpakaļ uz ligzdu no tuvējās zonas. Pēdējā brīdī plkst. 18.20 tētis atnesa plaudi, kam cieši sekoja Lēdija. 36 uz ligzdu, lai paņemtu zivis, un sāka baroties — otrs vēroja no tuvējā zara. Tad vērotājs pārlidoja tuvāk kamerai un plkst. 18.36 spēja atgriezties ligzdā. Tad Lēdija pabaroja 35, kad 36 atkāpās malā. Viņa nedaudz pabaroja abus, tad 36 devās uz zaru, Lēdijai joprojām barojot 35. 35 turpināja baroties paši, kad Lady aizgāja. Tad vēl tētis ar kaiju plkst. 19:40 – piesteidzās pie 35, un 36 arī atgriezās ligzdā. 35 tomēr barojās paši, līdz Lady ieradās plkst. 19:49 un apēda sevi. Tumsā 36 bija uz ligzdas, bet 35 – uz tuvējā zara.

Viņa nedaudz pabaroja abus, tad 36 devās uz zaru, Lēdijai joprojām barojot 35. 35 turpināja baroties paši, kad Lady aizgāja. Tad vēl tētis ar kaiju plkst. 19:40 – piesteidzās pie 35, un 36 arī atgriezās ligzdā. 35 tomēr barojās paši, līdz Lady ieradās plkst. 19:49 un apēda sevi. Tumsā 36 bija uz ligzdas, bet 35 – uz tuvējā zara.

November 11: 36 slept in the bowl for part of the night, moving to the edge around midnight, with 35 on a branch nearby. All woke early and after a while came to the nest, picking for scraps then all were off. Currawong calls were heard and after some time both appeared to be close by, one on a branch near parent and the other higher. They both came quickly to the nest when Lady came in at 7:33 – but no food. They moved together then side by side on PB beside Lady and still there when she left. One flew off strongly at 8:17 – possibly the other as well. One came to the nest for a while at 8:44 –then away. Currawong was swooping. At 9:10, one landed on the camera equipment again, 35?, pulling at the mic covering and “de-feathering” it. Then flew to the nest and moved higher up the branch. 36 was heard nearby at 9:56. 11:17 one on PB flew away strongly. Both then were heard later around the nest area on a warm, windy day and around 3:30, seen below the nest. A currawong was swooping too, and both protesting. 6pm and still no food. – until Dad brought part of a bird at 18:19, followed by Lady with her gull. Both left, Lady taking hers to de-feather. Both youngsters were there, but hard returning in the wind. They made it to the nest as Lady bought in her gull, feeding first one then both. All then settled for the night.

Visi pamodās agri un pēc kāda laika pienāca pie ligzdas, meklējot ediena pārpalikumus, tad visi devās prom. Atskanēja kurravongu saucieni, un pēc kāda laika abi šķita esam tuvumā – viens uz zara netālu no mātes, otrs augstāk. Kad Lady ieradās plkst. 7:33, viņi abi ātri pienāca pie ligzdas, taču bez barības. Viņi pārvietojās kopā, tad blakus uz PB blakus Lady un joprojām tur, kad viņa aizgāja. Viens spēcīgi aizlidoja plkst. 8:17 – iespējams, arī otrs. Viens uz brīdi ieradās ligzdā plkst. 8:44 – tad prom. Kurravongs lidinājās. Plkst. 9:10 viens atkal piezemējās uz kameras aprīkojuma, 35?, paraujot mikrofona pārsegu un "atbrīvojot" to. Tad aizlidoja uz ligzdu un pārvietojās augstāk pa zaru. 36 tika dzirdēts netālu plkst. 9:56. Plkst. 11:17 viens no PB spēcīgi aizlidoja prom. Abi vēlāk tika dzirdēti ligzdas apkārtnē siltā, vējainā dienā un ap pulksten 15:30 bija redzami zem ligzdas. Arī lidinājās kurras, un abi protestēja. Pulksten 18:19 joprojām nebija barības – līdz tētis pulksten 18:19 atnesa putna daļu, kam sekoja Lēdija ar savu kaiju. Abi aizgāja, Lēdija paņēma savējo, lai atbrīvotos no spalvām. Abi mazuļi bija tur, bet vējā grūti atgriezās atpakaļ. Viņi sasniedza ligzdu, kad Lēdija paņēma savu kaiju, pabarojot vispirms vienu, tad abus. Tad visi apmetās uz nakti.
