October 4: the little Boobook was hunting moths round the nest last night, the eagles alert and calling. Lady woke early and fed some left-over eel, then away. Dad was seen down on the river around 8am. At 10:15 though, Lady came in puffing with a big eel, feeding both. Then a long afternoon waiting, on a lovely sunny day. Just before 5pm Lady came in with a young gull, which she took nearby to de-feather, returning to feed them both -38 ate very well. Then Dad later at 6pm with a bream, claimed and fed by Lady – only 37 ate. Some late afternoon wingers on the nest. Another good day.

4. oktobris: pagājušajā naktī mazā pūcīte medīja naktstauriņus ligzdas tuvumā, kamēr ērgļi bija modri un sauca. "Lady" agri pamodās, pabaroja mazuļus ar iepriekš atstātu zuša gabalu un devās prom. Ap plkst. 8.00 pie upes tika manīts tēviņš. Tomēr plkst. 10.15 "Lady" atgriezās, smagi elsdama, ar lielu zuti un pabaroja abus mazuļus. Tam sekoja gara pēcpusdiena, gaidot jaukā, saulainā dienā. Neilgi pirms plkst. 17.00 "Lady" atnesa jaunu kaiju; viņa to aiznesa nedaudz tālāk, lai noplūktu spalvas, un tad atgriezās, lai pabarotu abus mazuļus – 38. mazulis ēda ļoti labi. Vēlāk, plkst. 18.00, tēviņš atnesa plaudi; "Lady" to pārņēma un izbaroja – ēda tikai 37. mazulis. Vēlākā pēcpusdienā ligzdā bija vērojama spārnu vingrināšana. Atkal laba diena.

October 5: Boobook was around again last night, disturbing the eagle family a little. Early awake then, with duets, and away. Dad was seen down on the river with a fish he caught – and ate himself. Then lady flew in with a big eel and fed her eel to both chicks. Both ate well although they weren't enthusiastic. They stopped and started, and Lady ate some of it herself. Dad ate some then fed leftover eel to 37. When 37 turned away, he fed a few bites to 38. Dad and Lady finished the eel. Later, the nestlings rested. Lady and Dad were heard calling nearby. Waiting. Around 6pm, Lady was heard calling – and 37 jumping and flapping on the nest at end of day – still waiting. At 6:25, both eagles were seen at Ironbark roost and Dad returned home soon after -with leaves but no food though. Lady followed soon after. A good feed this morning, then a lean afternoon.

5. oktobris: Pagājušajā naktī atkal bija parādījusies *Boobook* pūce, nedaudz traucējot ērgļu ģimeni. Tāpēc tie agri pamodās, sasaucās duetā un devās prom. Tēvs tika manīts lejā pie upes ar noķertu zivi, kuru pats arī apēda. Tad atlidoja mātīte ar lielu zuti un izbaroja to abiem mazuļiem. Abi ēda labi, lai gan bez īpašas sajūsmas. Tie ik pa laikam pārtrauca ēšanu, un daļu zuts apēda pati mātīte. Tēvs nedaudz paēda un tad atlikušo zuts daļu izbaroja 37. Kad 37 novērsās, viņš dažus kumosus iedeva 38. Tēvs un mātīte pabeidza ēst zuti. Vēlāk mazuļi atpūtās. Bija dzirdams, kā mātīte un tēvs sauc tuvumā. Gaidīšana. Ap plkst. 18.00 bija dzirdami mātītes saucieni, un dienas noslēgumā 37 lēkāja un plivināja spārnus ligzdā – joprojām gaidot. Plkst. 18.25 abi ērgļi tika pamanīti uz *Ironbark* koka zara, kur tie mēdz nakšņot, un drīz pēc tam tēvs atgriezās mājās – ar zariem, bet bez barības. Drīz pēc tam atlidoja arī mātīte. Labs ēdiens no rīta, bet pēcpusdienā – mazāk barības.
