AUGUST 21, 2023..Monday...Love it when I'am in tune with mother nature. Had a feeling so I took an early morning drive to M's and there he was in the nest tree. I stayed for an hour as he keep an eye on things, preened a little and just perched. It was good to see him. He has a lot of work to get done on the nest as well as getting a new mate this season...

Summer Visit To The Nest Tree & Pasture 08.23.23
This is my first visit to the nest area since E22 was last seen in June. The nest tree pasture and west pasture have been mowed and unwanted remnants remaining from the Hurricane last September have been cleaned up. I did not see M15 but I am sure he is not far away and remains in his territory keeping watch over it. The adult female that has been seen in the nest tree and pasture trees over the summer flew into the nest before sunrise, watched the area and then perched in the attic. She appears to be just matured (5 years of age) with only a few darker feathers remaining on her head & has no visible injuries to her feet or talons. Whether she was looking for M15 or just using the tall nest tree as a sentry/lookout spot to watch for other activity I do not know. She vocalized a few times and occasionally tracked activity in the distance. It is not mating or nesting season for our FL eagles yet so we shall see what happens over the next month. M15 is the 'boss' and we are just observers.
E21 was last seen April 29th & E22 was last seen June 10th. Harriet was last seen February 2nd. "I love you Mom" and miss you terribly.

This is the Female Eagle R23-4 I called her Cleopatra just to keep it straight because there were many intruders during season 11. I do not believe this is the same one that has been hanging around this summer?? Does not look like the one being called Maybelline. I'm still unsure.

SWFL Eagle Cam. M15 Nest.

Good afternoon everyone.
M15 and the female visitor were at the nest tree again today. The nest has been worked on, which continues to be a good sign for the future of the nest. M15 and the female were across the road and then M15 bringing more branches. Looks like M is on a mission already.

M15 un apmeklētāja sieviete šodien atkal bija pie ligzdas koka. Pie ligzdas ir strādāts, kas joprojām ir laba zīme ligzdas nākotnei. M15 un mātīte atradās pāri ceļam, un tad M15 atnesa vēl zarus. Izskatās, ka M jau ir misijā.

Another great morning . Great to see them together.
When I arrived the female was there, then M15 later on joined her both vocalizing (morning vocals) they didnt stay long both took off An hour later the Female came back vocalizing and watching , looks like she had a breakfast , then tracking and took off
Every moment counts never know if may change .
Keep watching and lets see how this story unfolds

Kārtējais lieliskais rīts. Lieliski redzēt viņus kopā.
Kad es ierados mātīte bija tur, tad M15 vēlāk pievienojās viņai abās vokalizēšanas (rīta vokāls) viņi ilgi nepalika abi pacēlās. Pēc stundas mātīte atgriezās vokalizējot un skatoties, izskatās, ka viņa paēda brokastis, tad sekoja kautkam un pacēlās.
Katrs mirklis ir svarīgs, nekad nevar zināt, kad tas var mainīties.
Turpiniet skatīties un redzēsim, kā šis stāsts attīstīsies
