Mātīte Konija/Connie, tēviņš Klaivs/Clive.
Martins, kas pievienojās mātītei 2021. gada rudenī, nu ir nomainīts ar Klaivu.
Connie is finally back in the nest! She has a new mate, Martin. She originally came back with a male named Martin but has since chosen a new mate, Clive.

Monday, December 28th, CROW rehabber Katie M. was lifted to the Captiva nest to check on the eaglets and remove the monofilament. We are happy to report the eaglets are well and through team efforts with AEF, she was able to remove not only the offending monofilament but also the hook attached to it.
Special thanks to LCEC for lift assistance as well as AEF cam operators Kathy Clark & Shari Pfannenstein.

Tas gan labi, ka laikus pamanīja auklu ar āķi un tos aizvāca no ligzdas!
CROW - Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc.
Monday, December 28th
It has been quite an eventful day for the eagles at the Captiva Nest Cam!
The American Eagle Foundation camera operators discovered a monofilament line wrapped around one of the eaglets and contacted USFWS for permission to have the #CROWClinic investigate and evaluate the eaglet’s health. Once permission was obtained, CROW rehabber Katie M. was lifted to the nest to check on the eaglets and remove the monofilament.
We are happy to report the eaglets are well and through team efforts with AEF’s Connor O., she was able to remove not only the offending monofilament but also a hook attached to it. Special thank you to LCEC for providing assistance in getting Katie to the nest.
You can watch the live cam on this nest at http://bit.ly/CaptivaEagleCam!

Šodien vienas sērīgas ziņas jālasa dažās ligzdās...mazākais cālis ir aizgājis pie Putnu Dieviņa divas dienas atpakaļ 13.01.
Nevaru īsti atrast kāpēc mazulis miris... Čatotāji min dažādus iemeslus. Tik vien zināms ,ka mazais pēdējās dienās zaudējis krasi svaru....viena versija-žurku inde ,ko Džo bija atnesis pirms dažām dienām.

Hey all, very sad day... this is the side of nature that isn't fun... I'm going to pause the PTZ streams to do some investigations. If we are to do a necropsy, we have to have solid evidence to bring to USFWS that this was not a natural occurrence but a man made occurrence. Only at that point will they give us permission to go up in the nest. If there is anything of note on review, it will be recorded and sent to a team of veterinarians. I'll update you guys soon!
