Z-Dekoras ligzda atrodas privātā teritorijā - noslēgtā ielejā uz ziemeļiem no Dekoras. Īpašnieki lūdz zinātājus saglabāt tās atrašanās vietu nezināmu plašai sabiedrībai. Ligzda ir ļoti liela, uzbūvēta baltajā ozolā upes ielejā, kuras vienā pusē ir mežs, otrā pusē ir ganības.
Patreizējā ligzda (DNN2) ir jau trešā, ko 6-7 gadu laikā ir uzbūvējuši ērgļi. Nav zināms, vai tieši šis ērgļu pāris šajā laikā te ligzdojis. 1.ligzda DNN0 tika uzbūvēta priedē un tā nobruka pēc 2.ligzdošanas sezonas. Nākamajā sezonā ērgļi ligzdoja sausā gobā/ligzdā DNN1. 2013.gada nogalē viņi pārvācās uz pašreiz tiešraidē vērojamo ligzdu.
Šī ligzda bija interesanta ar to, ka uzbūvēta nevis pie/virs stumbra un pie zaru pamatnes, bet atrodas tālāk kā zaros iekārts šūpulis. Ligzdas pamats ieausts zarotnē. 2018.gada 29.augustā vētrā ligzda sabruka un oktobrī tā tika cilvēku spēkiem atjaunota. 2020.g.15.augusts vējš atkal pamatīgi nobrucināja ligzdu https://forums.dabasdati.lv/viewtopic.p ... 43#p262843

Svarīgi notikumi ligzdā
Ērgļi uzsāk ligzdošanas sezonu oktobrī, bet pārojas janvāra beigās vai februāra sākumā, olu dēšana notiek februāra vidū vai beigās. Mazuļi parasti izšķiļas marta beigās- aprīļa sākumā un jaunie ērglēni pamet ligzdu jūnija vidū. Lai gan jaunie dodas projām laikā no augusta līdz oktobrim, pieaugušie ērgļi paliek teritorijā visu gadu. Ērgļi ēd zivis, vāveres, citus putnus, zaķus, žurkas, briežus, oposumus un visu citu, ko viņi var noķert vai atrast.
2018.gada februārī pirmā dējuma ola bija nedzīva.
Aprīlī otrā dējuma abas olas izšķīlās, tomēr abi mazuļi neizdzīvoja karsto laika apstākļu dēļ.

10/15/19: 1:00 PM visit. A cool fly-in from the spooky tree starts at 17 seconds. We get some very nice looks at Mr. North in the nest and DNF on a nearby branch (go to 11:11 for a look at her, although she is concealed behind some leaves). Check 16:18 for some really beautiful preening!
10/15/19: Early morning - https://youtu.be/NE5h5ea4x-w. This lovely video shows almost everything I love about the North nest! It's missing eagles and cows, but the fall colors are spectacular! At around 22 seconds, we see a starling molting into winter plumage (we only see one, but we hear more). We go to the nest at 3:59 and start a tour of the beautiful fall foliage. Look for stunning portraits of orange and gold oak leaves against vivid green grass and the waters of the creek. Hear the white-breasted nuthatches? The camera operator finds two at 8:11! We get to see them chase, fly, and forage in the bark crevices in the tree. We get another look at the North nest around 11:24 and more starlings at 12:04!
10/16/19: Close-ups of DNF. Just what the video title says - wonderful close-ups of DNF, with great looks at her feathers (her paler feathers are older), her face, her head (the mark appears to be prey remains), her feet, and her talons. A beautiful portrait of a beautiful eagle!
10/16/19: Lunch and nestorations - https://youtu.be/XgTm-9_rwMc. Fantastic looks at Mr. North, DNF, and fall foliage. DNF arrives at the nest and preens. At 5:19, we see Mr. North over on a branch eating something, although we can't quite see what it is. At 9:38, he flies across the field (she is still on the tree) and over to the stream. We get some more really nice looks at DNF before he joins her in the nest. I love the view at 18:04 - it gives us a wonderful look at just how much larger she is! We get some really nice looks at both of them in the nest before they perch together on the babysitting branch. He flies off and she stays!
