Hello and welcome to Eagle Country!
This eagle’s nest is located on private property, which is also a working cattle ranch, near a large state park in southwest Florida. The river in the park serves as a great food source for the eagles.
They have nested here for over 16 years in the same tree. Hurricane Irma, unfortunately, toppled the tree the nest was in. The eagles immediately began to rebuild in a tree right beside the one that fell. Their tenacity in rebuilding so inspired us that we wanted to share their story online with you all.
We currently have two cameras, a close-up nest cam and a 2nd cam to provide a wider view. Also, at any time, you may hear cows, dogs, sandhill cranes and a variety of other Florida birds in the background.
Because we are a working ranch with many daily responsibilities, we will attempt to join you in chats when we can. We do read through all of the comments and appreciate your encouragement and input. We will also do our best to keep our system running smoothly for you.
God loves the eagles and so do we! It is our hope that they will inspire you as they have us.
We have endeavored to adhere to the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission’s guidelines in this project. It is because of their recommendation that we do not specifically disclose the nest’s location.
As you avid eagle watchers know, the eagles are mostly out of the nest until there are eggs/eaglets in the nest. But, in the meantime, we will provide highlights of the eagles’ nest activities for you to watch at your convenience.
If you are viewing at night, please don't be alarmed at what looks like "bright spot lights." It's IR light from the nest cam that is invisible to the eagles. If you were standing under the nest, it would be completely dark outside!

Eagle Country
Dear Eagle Country Friends,

It is with sadness of heart that we want to inform you that Victoria & Nicholas’s nest just fell from the tree today at 12:46:11. The weather has been very severe the last couple days with extreme winds and rain.

Victoria has been in the tree eating since the nest fell. One thing we know about these eagles. They are resilient! We have seen them rebuild once after Hurricane Irma, so who knows what they may do!

Will will keep you informed of progress and activities of the eagles as we see it.
