Two Wonderful Parents.

It was a weekend of eagle purpose. The days were full of joy. Mom feeding breakfish to “Lil" , followed by yoga stretching classes. Shadow with Uber eats to keep the buffet stocked. After-all , to be a warrior in preparation you need to keep putting in the calories. The chick is 25 days old at 16:14 today.
There were the usual dusk family meals, always a screenshot opportunity as they are both fleeting and precious. Then on Sunday night as dusk turned to night we expected Shadow to fly off to his nearby roost tree, or the many spots close to the nest that he can make a selection, but he instead decided to spend extra time with “Lil” by roosting, while Jackie stood on the front porch. That is her usual spot when she is not covering or staying with “Lil”. This was not the premiere of Shadow spending part of the night on the nest, as Wednesday 23rd holds those honors.
They have been through much to get to this point. Two seasons of hard challenges that have made them stronger, more bonded and with greater capacity than at any time before. It is most likely as they are highly empowered creatures, that much like the family meals together on the nest, that Shadow couldn’t convince himself to leave “Lil”, and was open to stay a little while longer than usual if Jackie didn’t insist on taking the roosting spot in the nest bowl that Shadow had occupied. Oh my, didn’t they look so comfy together. Jackie decided that Shadow can stay. He has proved a stalwart parter and eagle dad, so it might have been as a token of appreciation. At times like this I’m certain that I’m not the only one that would wish to speak Eagleisn.
It crossed my mind with their history and experiences, and what they have accomplished together how much having this time might mean to them, I ponder. Through all the storms they have found peace. Through all the preparation a nest of wonderful construction. Through all the challenges the will to go on. Through all the testing the strength to triumph. Through all the loss, the ability to continue hoping for more ahead. For this nest is a place that they call home. It is the home of Jackie and Shadow, and the only place “Lil” has known.
A very unique journey. A very unique story. A very unique pair. May there be much celebration with family meals, and dad staying in late. It will all one day be as if too quick in passing, but let us not miss the opportunities along the way because it is not “as usual”. This is all very powerful and unique. Let the pages of Nature’s script be written as they unfold, informing us of this unique Eagle story. Let us be inspired, captivated and informed. This story is an unforgettable nugget of treasure. Let us be inspired to think out of the box, for there is magic ahead that we cannot think or imagine that the Mighty Eagles have for us to behold. So much greatness I can only imagine as this is an unique Eagle home of wonder.

On a weather note Jackie and Shadow would like to inform us that they picked Big Bear as their home, as their eagle friends thrive in Alaska. They will have “Lil” nice and warm with their precious 105 F body temparature and 7000 + feathers. The little one will be fine with mom or dad.
