Forelljjanka, paldies, ka padalījies ar tādu jauku kraukļu aprakstu!
Maniem vecākiem kādreiz vairākus gadus bija pieradināta vārniņa, kuru viņi paņēma vēl mazu, ar cietušu spārnu. Ko visu viņi nav stāstījuši.. vērīgāku un gudrāku putnu grūti iedomāties!
Vērotāja, video arī ļoti forši! Mums tiešām vajadzētu pavasarī te atvērt kraukļu sadaļu tiem, kam interesē un patīk arī šie inteliģentie, interesantie putni
Bet jā, kopumā tā izskatās, ka, kā rakstīja lianaliesma, ar burvju vārdiņiem "snips, snaps, snurre, bazilurre!" šīs vasaras pasaka Laumiņas un Pērkona ligzdā pamazām izskan...

I think too that Lauma has started her migration. She hasn't been seen for two days now.
If we don't see her the next day we can be fairly sure she left. Same for Snips btw.
The weather in Latvia the last days was favourable for migration southwards, with a pretty strong wind blowing from the north-west.
At least both Snaps and Snurre were on the nest yesterday, but no Perkons, although another osprey was reported to circle around the nest when both Snaps and Snurre were on the nest yesterday.
As said before, it is not uncommon that chicks get their fish delivered on nearby trees and perches, instead of on the nest, at this stage.
Anyway, time has come for us watchers to prepare to say farewell to this special osprey family and wish them all a safe journey to Africa, and a safe return next spring.
